Purbrook got off to a quick start punishing anything leg side until Ned Merz came on first change and got Ben Parker (30) to sky one to Dan Roots in the covers. Ned then got a 2nd wicket as LiamKelly clipped the ball to Nathan Linkhorn at mid wicket. In his next over he bowled Purbrook skipper Ben Rooker.
Will Spencer then got in on the act removing opener Sam Dolley (25) caught by that debutant Ned Merz at mid on after a piece of inspired captaincy having been moved there the ball before.
The scoring rate was still good as Jacob Launing-younger (76) hitting anything short to the boundary on the leg side despite men being put out on the leg side.Harry Roots again on debut picked up 2 quick wickets bowling Joe Perkins and Hazrat Wali in successive overs.
Zachary Tyler (also on debut) then got danger mad Jacob caught by Ned at mid on. Nathan Linkhorn and Dave Squires picked up wickets 8 & 9 before man of the match Ned Merz (4-19) returned and bowled number 11 James Graham to complete a debut to remember with 4-19 and 3 wickets
Purbrook finished on 237 but as the innings was completed the heavens opened and unfortunately that was the game as the rain did not stop until 6pm
A great effort by everyone especially the youngsters on debut
